Roth Ready To Rock

June 7, 1999 - David Lee Roth arrived in Europe late last week, all fired up and ready to embark on his first tour since 1995. Before leaving the USA, Dave and his new band held a private performance for a small crowd at Nightingale's rehearsal studio in Burbank, CA. (Full report from Launch).

To coincide with the European tour, the DLR Band album will finally be released in Finland. The album will be out on June 14, just over one year since it was released in the USA. The Finnish release will have a slightly different cover (right) - "David Lee Roth" in the top right corner instead of "DLR Band".

davidleeroth.com has posted a the 24 songs that will make up the set lists for the tour. According to Dave's site, only three DLR solo tunes will be performed, the rest will be Van Halen tunes.

Our DLR Tour page has all the current dates, plus a few that are still unconfirmed. You are invited to submit reviews, set lists, photos and videos from the shows. Simply click on the Submit Review link in the menu. The first five reviews we receive will be published.

June 15, 1999 - The European leg of the 1999 David Lee Roth tour is now over. Dave and his new band are currently making their way to the USA for a series of gigs as support for the re-formed Bad Company. Roth will return to Europe on June 26 for the one-off Rantarock Festival in Vaasa, Finland.

As anticipated, the set list for the three European shows was almost exclusively made up of Van Halen songs. The only Roth solo tunes played were Yankee Rose, Slam Dunk and Tobacco Road, the latter being a cover.

We have plenty of reviews for you to read on our 1999 Roth Tour page, including some exclusive photos from the first show in Amsterdam.
