New Album In '99!
October 7, 1998 - Van Halen will return to the studio in early 1999 to record a new album! Breaking the 1990's convention of one studio album every three to four years, the band are keen to release another album as soon as possible to see out the decade/century/millennium. No firm dates have been set for the release of the new album. The 1998 world tour is starting to wind up. Only two more U.S. dates are left, one in Alaska, the other in Hawaii. After that the band will play 10 shows in Japan before returning to Puerto Rico on December 11 to play the show that was postponed due to Hurricane Georges. The band rocked Las Vegas this past weekend with two sold out shows at the Hard Rock Casino. Making it's debut performance for the tour was Edward Van Halen's new striped Peavey Wolfgang guitar!
