Everybody Wants Some!October 8, 1997 - Yesterday saw the release of Everybody Wants Some - A Loose Interpretation of the Musical Genius of Van Halen from the Boston-based independent label Cherrydisc Records. The album features unique versions of some of Van Halen's most memorable tunes, covered by bands such as Elbow, Fuzzy and Captain Rock.
Unlike other tribute albums where the arrangements remain relatively unchanged, the artists featured on Everybody Wants Some deliberately go out of their way to "bend the rules" that made the trademark Van Halen sound. Everything from Eruption played on a church organ by an Ordained Minister to an all-girl band covering Feel Your Love Tonight is there. If you feel like a bit of head-banging, a metal version of Romeo Delight should keep you satisfied! Click on the album cover for more information, including RealAudio samples!

October 31, 1997 - David Lee Roth's new album The Best has hit the stores in the USA! Featuring 19 digitally remastered classics and one brand new track, the album is sure to please Roth fans worldwide. The new track, Don't Piss Me Off features Steve Hunter on guitar and Brett Tuggle on keyboards, two of Dave's longest serving band members.
An alternate "clean" version of the album cover (see right) has been designed for stores like Wal-Mart, just in case they decide not to sell the album because of the cover. In other news, Dave is currently forming a new-look version of the David Lee Roth band for a new album and tour! The big names already signed include Bass supremo Billy Sheehan and drumming legend Carmine Appice. No word yet on a guitarist, but whoever it is has big shoes to fill considering Dave has worked with the likes of Edward Van Halen, Steve Vai, Jason Becker and Joe Holmes!
