On this date in 1955, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands to Jan and Eugenia Van Halen, the couple's second of two children. Alexander Arthur was of course born two years earlier.
On behalf of Van Halen fans all over the world, the Van Halen News Desk would like to take this opportunity to wish Eddie a very happy 49th birthday, and thanks for the more than 25 years of incredible music.
