Premium Ticket Packages On Sale TOMORROW!!

March 26th, 2004 - REVISED

STOP THE PRESSES! The official Van Halen email newsletter has just announced that it will be sending a message out in the next 12 hours that will "contain a direct link to the packages. Upon activating the link, you'll need to sign in with the following password:

Password: itsabouttime"

In addition to this, the AOL keyword for the AOL presale has been announced: VAN HALEN PRESALE

Now please read on for the original details...

Tomorrow morning at 10am EST, Van Halen will forever change the way bands should sell tickets to their die-hard fans. No more "I wish Van Halen would do this, I wish Van Halen would do that....", Van Halen will be setting the example this time. No other band is going to be giving you a value like this.

Van Halen has teamed up with iloveallaccess.com to offer the ultimate fan experience. What does this mean? You will be able to buy a premium ticket package through the iloveallaccess.com website. What exactly will you get? The details are still a closely guarded secret, but the website trumpets "A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you to get killer seats, goodies, go backstage,(not available on all ticket packages) and party!" We are expecting Van Halen's official site and/or iloveallaccess.com to tell us at some point before tomorrow morning when these packages go on sale. We've been told to anticipate a package that may include a GREAT seat (probably within the first 20 rows or so), free swag (such as a t-shirt & possibly more) and possibly special treatment of some sort, that might include getting to meet the band.

The price has not yet been announced but it is expected to be much lower than what some other bands have been charging for similar packages. Van Halen is well aware that bands such as Aerosmith charge $525 and KISS charge even more for similar premium packages, but Van Halen has no plans to gouge the fans like that. This will be great as it prevents the ticket scalpers from raping the fans. Now the fans can get a great seat, free swag, & special treatment at the show for less than the price of buying the same seat from a ticket broker!

There are 12 shows so far with these special ticket packages going on sale Tuesday at 10am Eastern:

June 11 Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Coliseum
June 13 Hershey, PA - Hershey Park Stadium
June 16 Philadelphia, PA - Wachovia Center
June 19 Worcester, MA - Worcester Centrum
June 22 East Rutherford, NJ - Continental Arena
June 25 Washington D.C. - MCI Center
July 10 Detroit, MI - Joe Louis Arena
July 11 Auburn Hills, MI - The Palace at Auburn Hills
July 22 St. Paul, MN - Xcel Energy Center
July 26 Kansas City, MO - Kemper Arena
July 28 St. Louis, MO - Savvis Center
August 7 Las Vegas, NV - Mandalay Bay Events Center

Also, the AOL Presale starts Wednesday at 4:00 PM (local to the event on sale). You must be a member of AOL to participate.

Normal tickets go on sale this Saturday, April 3rd at 10am (again local to the show on sale).

Right Now, it's good to be a VH fan!
